Hi! I'm Cat Johnston Floyd!

I’m a watercolor painter and collage artist creating art that celebrates femininity & nature. From original paintings to shadowbox collages, everything I make is rooted in a love for whimsy & curiosity.

I like to paint things that make me feel wonder. I adore the surrealists so I aim to create a dreamy quality in my work. My paintings often center female figures with reoccurring celestial and deep ocean themes .

In addition to original paintings and prints, I create a variety of handmade products, including stickers, bookmarks, and occasionally ceramic and crochet items. Each piece is a reflection of my love for vibrant colors, intricate details, and the beauty of the world around me.

My art can be found in my studio at City Market as well as in local shops in downtown Savannah and at Pop Up Artisan Markets throughout Chatham County. Born and raised in South Florida, I have called Savannah, Georgia home since 2010. After earning my B.F.A. in Illustration from Savannah College of Art & Design, I began my art career in book illustration, with published works in several children's and text books. Over the years, my focus has evolved, and I now specialize in fine art watercolor paintings and mixed-media collages.
